Please understand that we would always like to assist our clients as far as possible, however due to the strict health and safety regulations we are very limited with regards to return and refunds. If you have any doubts, feel free to get in touch for assistance.

SoveReign Body Jewellery ensures that thorough inspections are done before the items are sent out for delivery to ensure no defective or damaged products land in our customers hands. We pride ourselves on excellent service delivery.

DISCOMFORT & ALLERGIES
It is the responsibility of the customer to be aware of any allergies he or she has to metals, oxidation applied to metals and / or finishes applied to jewellery before making an online purchase.

SoveReign Body Jewellery pieces are made mainly from stainless steel and / or 316L Surgical steel, however may contain some brass decorative top pieces with IP, PVD or Rhodium plating.

Stainless steel can contain up to 12% nickel which meets EU directives. Whilst most people don’t react to this hard wearing metal, it can still cause a reaction for some people with a high sensitivity nickel allergy & therefore there is no guarantee against potential reactions to skin.

SoveReign Body Jewellery is not responsible for any discomfort or allergic reactions that may occur as a result of wearing our jewellery, unfortunately no returns or refunds are given due to allergies.

SoveReign Body Jewellery is not responsible for replacing jewellery where the incorrect size was purchased. The responsibility falls completely on the purchaser to make sure the correct size was purchased.

SoveReign Body Jewellery items contain small component parts which may present a choking hazard if ingested. As a result, jewellery from SoveReign Body Jewellery should always be kept out of the reach of young children or other individuals likely to ingest the jewellery or its component parts. Unless indicated as suitable for children, products are not intended for use by children aged 12 and under.

JEWELLERY TARNISHING
What is tarnishing? Jewellery will naturally tarnish with exposure to the air, environment, perfumes, moisturisers, hairspray, soaps and perspiration. Tarnishing is a non permanent, chemical change in the surface of metal which darkens and dulls over time. Tarnishing will change the jewellery colour from white, through yellow, then to brown and eventually dark. Pollution, contact with chemicals and some skin types will increase the chances of tarnishing happening quickly. It’s difficult to avoid tarnish on jewellery. As tarnishing is a natural process you can either accept it as part of the ageing process of your jewellery or you could try to prevent it through proper jewellery care.

WEAR & TEAR
What is wear and tear? Wear and tear describes the general appearance that jewellery develops during its life. Metals are soft and can distort if squeezed or twisted. Repeated twisting may cause cracking and repeated abrasion may cause permanent changes to the surface. Wear and tear can alter the appearance of jewellery significantly.

JEWELLERY CARE
We know & understand you love your jewellery but try not to wear it 24-7 as this will reduce a life of your piece. Put your jewellery on after applying hair products, hand and body creams, perfume and make-up. Remove rings when washing your hands and avoid swimming and bathing while wearing jewellery. All jewellery should be removed when engaging with activities such as sport and houseworks. We also recommend you put on jewellery last when dressing and take off first when undressing as well as we highly recommend to remove jewellery before going to sleep. While not wearing store your jewellery in the original packaging to avoid scratches.

Sovereign Body Jewellery does not take any responsibility for the tarnishing or damage which ensues from client actions / lack of proper jewellery care.

CAN I RETURN BODY JEWELLERY?

Due to strict health and safety regulations SoveReign Body Jewellery unfortunately does not accept returns on any items which have been opened and / or used in any shape or form.

If a product has been ordered incorrectly or is no longer desired, the products must be returned to SoveReign Body Jewellery in its original, unopened packaging and in it’s new unused condition. SoveReign Body Jewellery does not give cash refunds, all refunds will only be in the form of store credit / coupons. Kindly note that any and all shipping costs will not be included in the store credit / coupons.

Returns are subject to a 10% handling fee and credit will not be passed for original shipping charges.

If the item(s) are still sealed in its original packaging, you may request a return within 7 days from the date your package was receive. All return costs will be at the customers expense.

A thorough inspection will be done of the package and item(s) to conclude if your return has been approved or denied.

In the unlikely event that items are delivered damaged or with defects and there is no clear damage to the item from the shipping company, you will be required to take photos of your item(s) within 24 hours of receiving your goods & send these to info@sovereignsurgicalsteel.co.za

Upon receipt of the details we will investigate the matter. Should it be found that the items were sent to you in the condition shown upon receipt or such damage occurred in transit, SoveReign Body Jewellery will replace the items that you have ordered subject to stock availability. If the items are not reported as damaged / defective within 24 hours of receiving them, we will not be able to refund or exchange your order.

The customer will be required to return the damaged items to us, upon which a new order will be sent. The customer will not be permitted to keep the damaged items.

Unfortunately no explanation or reason will be accepted as to why the items were not evaluated within the 24 hour time frame. Kindly ensure that you or the receiver opens & evaluates all items upon receipt. It is recommended that any orders intended as gifts still be opened & evaluated.

HOW DO I RETURN MY ORDER?

Returns must have the original packaging (seal unbroken), to be eligible for a full refund in the form of store credit.

1. Please contact info@sovereignsurgicalsteel.co.za to make a return request.
2. Kindly provide us with the reason for return as well as any photo / video evidence if applicable.
3. SoveReign Body Jewellery will arrange the collection for your return however you are responsible for all costs incurred according to your region.
4. SoveReign Body Jewellery will confirm costs for collection and send an invoice. Collection will be booked and scheduled once funds have cleared into the SoveReign Body Jewellery account.
5. A thorough inspection will be done of the package and item(s) to conclude if your item return has been approved or denied.

IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO PACKAGE ALL ITEMS IN A WELL-MANNER FOR TRANSIT. ITEMS ARE INELIGIBLE FOR A REFUND IF ITEMS AND / OR THE PACKAGE HAS BEEN DAMAGED AND / OR BROKEN IN ANY FORM UPON RETURN.

ORDER CANCELLATIONS
Orders can ONLY be cancelled if the items have not been packed & scheduled for shipping.

Additional costs will be inquired and is for the customers account, if you wish to still cancel & return your order after it has been packed and scheduled for shipping.

Please Note: SoveReign Body Jewellery will not accept or refund packages which have been opened / damaged upon return.

Once payment has been received for an order, a cancellation refund can only be done in the form of store credit. Alternatively, the amount paid can be used to purchase other items.

ADDRESS CHANGE / CORRECTION
It is the responsibility of the customer to confirm their shipping information is correct upon placing an order. Any additional shipping costs incurred by missed delivery, re-delivery or package interception due to address changes is for the customers account.
